Lovely place, but thin walls, road works. Restrictions to the pool and facilities not good. Staff I encountered where lovely, but the Manager's attitude has a lot to be desired, especially when you have to leave because of noise, and refuses to reimburse for the two nights, you've already paid for. Wouldn't recommend or return.

Beautiful clean room. Very comfortable bed. Shower was lovely nice hot water. Food was delicious and the staff couldn't be more helpful

Everything is great except one thing. Really friendly and helpful staff, fresh breakfast, wonderful bed. But the heat inside ruined everything for me. It was 30°C inside the room which makes it hard to sleep even with fans..

Stayed for 1 night .lovely warm room. Nice shower. Comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. And a super English breakfast. And nice views across the fields.

Was a lovely place to stay and close enough to the wedding we were attending. Luxurious room we thought, certainly big and a good price. Wish we could of stayed longer. Didn't eat there this time. Did have to shut the windows in the night because of road noise.

Stayed here on our wedding night in the bridal suite. Although we didn't have the time to enjoy the room in it's entirety, it was absolutely beautiful. Rainfall shower, stand alone bath, balcony and petals on the bed.

Nothing luxury about this place - it’s more like faulty towers. Uninviting “bar” that’s very cold and makes me rather drink at McDonald’s over the road.
Also - what is going on with the rooms - this is not luxury. Would not recommend staying here. Not even a head board for the bed?

The room was lovely, very big with a huge private terrace. Was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. There were a few issues which are my reason for 4 stars and not 5. Firstly we had requested a room with two beds but when we were shown to our room it was just one king bed - the staff fixed this within 20 mins, this only niggled me because i was stretched for time to get to an event due to bad traffic so i just didnt have that time to spare! The other issues are, in my opinion, more due to bad management than the staff as the hot tub was out of use on a lovely sunny bank holiday weekend and they were not offering full English Breakfast (only continental) as had been stated when i booked and which i had been looking forward to. Great location though.

Wonderful place to stay the staff was brilliant from moment we got there till moment we left 2 things that let it down no disabled axsess and the breakfast was not hot but the young lady dealing with it alex was perfect

Awful customer service, I booked 2 rooms for my pre wedding night to then be told I had to book a bridal package which would cost 5x the amount I paid for 2 rooms for just one room, they said they would refund me but I have been waiting for over a week with no refund and to be told they will check with their accountants.

We have just got home after a weekend stay here and what a stay we had. This hotal is absolutely beautiful and clean, the rooms are a great size with everything you need for a stay and the beds omg they are so comfortable i could have stayed in it all day .It has a lovely pool and hot tub available. The breakfasts are lovely and really tasty. What can i say about the staff, they are truly amazing, so happy and polite and just can't do enough for you. We mentioned in a brief conversation that we were on a mini honeymoon and when we got back in after being out they had been in our room and decorated it with petals, balloons, chocolates and candles it was absolutely stunning and a lovely surprise. Tha k you all so much for an absolutely lovely stay. We will be back.

Appalling service at Woodhouse Farm! Put a dampener on my prewedding day. Have been asked for weeks to provide bank statements etc to prove my stay due to an in House problem which I thought was extremely unprofessional. Ive had my booking made for years as I had to cancel due to Covid. We turned up Friday, we was told I had to pay an additional £50.00 as they don’t have proof of my payment. We was told we was unable to use the pool as it had to be booked which I was unaware of. The girl on reception then said we can use the facilities from 8pm- 9pm. Breakfast came the following morning with no butter, jams etc for toast it was just dry with the egg etc put on top of dry toast. I asked in the kitchen and told them I was not happy with our stay. The staff just stood staring at one another with no idea about what they’re doing. The place is practically ran by 18 year olds that have no skills in customer service. Our hair, make up, photographers brought themselves up to our rooms. They was not brought to the rooms by any staff members. Paying for a bridal package we was placed in 2 family rooms which had ripped carpets etc and appalling lighting. The rooms were boiling hot with noisy industrial fans. I am extremely disappointed with our stay along with my bridesmaids having the same opinion. Certainly not worth the money!

Hotel very clean, nice design I think and the bedroom we had was very nice indeed. Facilities good. Swimming pool (small but adequate) needed to be booked but my wife said she had it all to herself which was a bonus.
Breakfast was freshly cooked - none of the usual hot buffet with serving spoons - one ordered one's breakfast the evening before and the time that you wanted it and when you arrived in the dining room it was then cooked especially at that point; a welcome change.
The staff were lovely,. Abbie on reception exceptionally friendly and helpful and the other staff were too.
I would give the overall rating as 4 and a half stars really, purely because of the following: That is, the location of hotel is nearby a main road (not right next to it though) and up a drive. We asked for a room away from the road when we booked (by the way, a tip - the best way to book is to phone the hotel directly, you can explain your requirements much more easily and they always answer the phone, in my experience at least).
We didn't notice the traffic at all.
The only other thing is that the rooms are not very soundproof; as others have mentioned this could be a problem, As it happens I could hear someone snoring next door! Perhaps they were exceptionally loud! So, as a recommendation to the hotel - I would suggest investing in a better soundproofing for the rooms.
In summary, a lovely, pleasant stay and we would certainly stay there again if up that way - a definite cut above the chain hotels.

We Stayed Easter Weekend. The place has huge potential, however is run on a budget. The rooms are lovely in size however, the walls are paper thin, you can hear everything happening in adjacentrooms. It sits very close to the A16 and the road noise is very loud, especially when an emergency vehicle passes. We booked a family room and was asked if we required a king and a single or three single beds. We selected the three single bed option, however on checking in, this request hadn't been accommodated. We arrived at 8.15pm to be told that we were late and lucky to not be getting a late check-in fee! Ollie checked us in. There was no email confirmation and therefore we were not aware that checking in was until 8pm. On checking in we had to select a time slot for breakfast and was very surprised breakfast finished at 9am on the weekend. We also had to choose what we wanted for breakfast in terms of cooked items. We then had to make the beds up ourselves to convert a king-size bed into two singles. Ollie did get bedding needed but did not offer to make beds he was in a rush to get home. There is a bar but nobody mans it in the evening. Breakfast was an absolute debacle we turned up at allotted time to be told our breakfast hadn't been preordered and that we would have to wait 25 to 30 mins to be cooked. We could help ourselves to cereal only!!. We had to ask for milk, juice, water for water boiler. On asking for these items person supposedly cooking food seemed to be on a break and talking on the phone. No offer of toast. Another couple turned up after us and got handed breakfast straight away. We finally got breakfast 55mins after arriving at 8.30am plates were not complete with same quantities of food and so had to Wait again for fresh to be cooked. The cook, seemed to be entirely manning the place from pool(heavily chlorinated), breakfast, and reception. Found out this was due to a colleague not turning up. Sadly we won't be returning, the place feels like it's been put together very quickly and unloved. Grounds feel unfinished. Such a shame, a bit more investment in building, staff and customer care and this place could be lovely.
